Diagnose & Fix a Crackling of laptop sub-woofer Sound in Linux – Ubuntu, Mint Linux, fedora
The woofer is set to max with no way to lower it. Sound crackles
The problem due to Volume adjustment doesn’t work properly & lfe volume always become 100%.
So edit he following file :
/usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/paths/analog-output.conf.common
open the file with root / administrative power using any text editor.
vi /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/paths/analog-output.conf
in the LFE section –> [Element LFE]
change “volume = ignore”
