Fix Ubuntu 12.04 or 12.10 linux /home directory missing.

In Ubuntu, while booting some times /home directory missing. The problem most probably due to mismatch in uuid of partition in fstab configuration file in /etc directory.

Take a live usb or cd ubuntu & boot inside the system. Check the drive are detected.

First Find the partition path example /dev/sda6. Then go to  /dev/disk/by-uuid. right clcik -> properties. check each device link target.

Change the fstab file in /etc[Root permission required] with correct uuid from disk-uuid .

So you can get back your home directory.
